Join me in this interview session with the CEO of Ayesha’ Cuisine in person of Ms Salaudeen Aisha
- Please introduce yourself and your business.
My name is Aisha Salaudeen, the CEO of Ayesha’s Cuisine, I am in my early 20’s. I am a student entrepreneur currently studying Statistics at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. @ayesha.cuisine is an online restaurant where you can order all sort of mouthwatering dishes and soups bowls. Our services include; private chefs and food deliveries
- What inspired you to start working from home/Office? Did anyone in particular inspire you?
My passion for cooking, eating good food and feeding people around me really inspired me to go into the catering business and so did important people around me. My brother in-law and a dear friend Alamin Ologolo also motivated me in so many ways.
- Is your family supportive of you being a working sister?
I am thankful to my mom and siblings, despite being a student entrepreneur, they supported me in every way they knew how to.
- What are the main challenges you face as an Entrepreneur?
A whole lot of challenges is attached to being a student-preneur. The first challenge is time, as an entrepreneur, having enough time brings about consistency and consistency brings about significant growth in business
- Describe a typical working day. Are there specific times in the day that you work on your business?
I work on specific days according to my academic schedule and there are days I don’t have a choice than to combine both together. Well, the stress is imaginable.
- What makes Your Business different from your competitors?
I know there are lot of caterers out there and we have so many things in common. But each caterer has a distinct characteristic that works best for them and this characteristic varies from one caterer to another. What makes me different from other caterers out there is my own little secrets.
- Where would you like to see your business in the future?
Ayesha’ Cuisine is only an online restaurant for now, we intend to expand in the nearest future to have a bigger and well known physical restaurant in a very nice and happy environment, so people could walk in anytime to enjoy our numerous delicacies. We also hope to run culinary school alongside.
- What advice would you give to upcoming entrepreneurs?
My advice to upcoming entrepreneurs is that your success lies within yourself and your competitors…. Support one another, there is enough space in the sky for the birds to fly. Learn from competitors to up your game. Don’t chase their downfall with the intent of being successful
